The Adams County Commissioners have given their blessing to a new plan from the state that will make housing more affordable for many residents who currently can’t afford their own home.
Adams County Economic Development Director Colton Bickel asked the Commissioners to approve the Hoosier Homes program for Adams County. The Commissioners approved the plan on Tuesday.
WZBD’s Ed Thurman spoke with Bickel about the program…
The new program will be offered to Adams County residents who earn under $115,000 and will only require a down payment of just 5% of the cost of the home, rather than the normal 10%.
