PRESS RELEASE
The Adams County Community Foundation (ACCF) is pleased to announce that God First Friends was recently awarded a grant for a project for handicap parking improvement.
The organization is a nonprofit ministry that provides a usable space, called The Table, for people and businesses to reserve for meetings. The Table is located in Monroe and God First Friends rents this space out on a donation basis. The donations are used for upkeep and giving back to the community.
In seeking the grant, God First Friends would like to accommodate more people and they wanted to improve the handicap parking located in the back of The Table. This project includes improving the outdoor space by giving clients a safe, even ground to park and enter the ground level back entrance of The Table. This project also cleaned up the back garden space for clients to use as weather permits. If you are interested in renting The Table, please email God First Friends at godfirstfriends@gmail.com.
Aimee Currie, Co-Founder of God First Friends and grant writer, expressed appreciation to the ACCF for their support.
“The more people we can accommodate, the more donations we can receive; which will allow us to help more people in our community.”
Ryan Hirschy, ACCF grants committee member, reported that the ACCF is a supporter of these efforts and proud to support this family friendly location.Â
This ACCF grant was made possible through unrestricted fund sponsored by the Robert Eugene & Sandra Butcher Community Enrichment Fund. The Fund represents and remembers Gene and Susie Butcher and their family. Married nearly 55 years, Gene and Susie had five children: Eugene, Verlin, Karen, Nancy, and Melissa. They had a sincere appreciation for the community that helped raise their family and wished to provide an annual tribute to this community.
