It was one for the record books Tuesday night as the South Adams Starfires played at Fort Wayne South Side and senior Macy Pries shot a remarkable 38 free throws in a wild ballgame that eventually ended with a victory for the visitors, 63-56.
Pries hit 26 of 38 in the ballgame from the free throw line and knocked down four buckets to achieve a new career high in points with 34.
With the big night at the line, Pries is actually the state leader in free throws made as of Wednesday.
Center Lanie Trausch hit seven shots and was 5 of 6 from the line to finish with 19 points.
It was the second win in a row for the Stars, who also defeated Heritage last weekend on a game heard on WZBD.
Next up for South Adams will be Parkway on Saturday afternoon.
