South Adams used a big first quarter to build a lead that the New Haven Bulldogs simply could not overcome, riding a 29-point game by senior Macy Pries.
The Starfires led 22-13 after eight minutes with Pries knocking down shots from inside and outside the arc.
New Haven clamped down on defense in the second quarter and limited the Stars to just six points.
Pries finished 3 of 5 beyond the arc and was 8 of 14 from the free throw line. She missed a double-double by one rebound.
Lanie Trausch led the Starfires with 10 boards and also added eight points.
Senior Emmerson Smith had an outstanding game, as well, with nine points and nine rebounds.
The Stars are back in action at home Saturday night against Union City.
