Injury? What injury?
Just a few weeks removed from what seemed like a potentially long-term shoulder injury to Hailey Cole at volleyball state, the Trine-bound senior put up 19 points at home against Jay County Friday in a 50-33 victory.
Cole scored nine points in the first quarter as the Braves jumped out to a 16-4 lead and never looked back, ending a losing streak to their 3A rivals to the south.
Freshman Lanie French knocked down two threes and finished with eight points.
Emily Bleke and Kamryn Jarvis each added seven points, but it was their defense that was most valuable in the Braves’ efforts.
Arabelle Laurent knocked down three threes for nine points.
