Heritage scored an impressive 1-0 victory at home against Leo Wednesday as Muhammad Ezhar’s goal stood up against a Lions team that entered the contest 6-3-1 and undefeated in the NE8.
Coach Joel Bunnell’s team grabbed the second-half goal and Toby Henning made all four saves to keep a clean sheet.
Heritage had eight shots on goal, including three from Twa Rit and from Ar Zit Cahn, but it was Ezhar who converted on his only attempt. Leo’s goalie made seven saves on the night.
The Patriots will host Norwell Thursday night.
