It’s taken a bit longer than usual, but 2023 concerts on the Madison St. Plaza are finally coming to close.
The Decatur Chamber of Commerce is bringing back E5C4P3, a Journey tribute band, on Thursday to drop the curtain on its 14-concert 2023 series.
A storm washed out the band’s earlier scheduled performance, but the Chamber has endured some added costs to return to the plaza a band which has proven popular in the past.
E5C4P3 will perform at 7 p.m., preceded at 6:45 by local talent Lexi Lamons, 18 (photo).
Food vendors will be available, Andy’s Coney Bar will be open, and 2 Pour Guys will offer up adult beverages.
E5C4P3 was formed in June of 1993 by Steve Perry impersonator Jason Keltey. From that year through 1999, E5C4P3 traveled nationwide and paid tribute to one of rock history’s most beloved bands.
E5C4P3 (see photo) says it is still known today as the original and best Journey tribute band to ever exist.
