A closely-contested opening set (26-24) bounced the way of the Norwell Knights Thursday night in the Castle, but it was the South Adams Starfires who stormed back for an important non-conference victory, winning the next three 25-15, 25-18, 25-16.

After the Starfire JV team lost in three sets, the South Adams varsity team seemed to be on their way of repeating after losing a hard-fought opener, but coach Ashley Buckingham’s team did not relent, winning the final three sets comfortably.

The stars of the night for the Stars were Macy Pries and Reagan Bollenbacher. Pries finished with a game-high 18 kills and 20 digs, while Bollenbacher was just behind the senior with 15 kills.
Norwell stayed in the first set with a series of aces and they finished with ten overall on the night, with four coming from Emma Vachon.

Mallory Falls had three blocks for Norwell. Macie Saalfrank led the Knights with six kills, while Jordyn Xayyachack had a team-high 20 digs.
South Adams setter Laney Trausch had 29 assists and 14 digs.
The Starfires are now 12-2 this season.
