Steve “Seve” Pilkington was inducted into the Cross Creek Golf Hall of Fame this past weekend as the course handed out its season championships and honored some of its all-time greats.
Still very active in the local golf scene, Pilkington is a regular in league and tournament play.
“Seve is an avid competitor,” said the press release for his induction. “He is a well-respected player and an ardent promoter of the game.”
Included in a long list of victories and championships were the following accomplishments:
2023 Adams County Champion (Super Senior)
2023 Decatur City Runner-Up (Super Senior)
2011 Men’s League Championship Team

Pilkington qualified for cup teams at both Grey Goose and at Cross Creek and was a club champion at Wabash Valley in 2021.
Seve did not start taking golf seriously until after he turned 30, but he is now a Hall of Fame member and has two holes-in-one to his credit.
Married to his wife, Mary, for 37 years, Pilkington has two children, Kayla and Corey. He also has a granddaughter, Saige.
Also recognized were the 2023 league champions.
The Monday league champions, Midwest Merchant, defeated the Thursday champions, Adams Memorial Hospital, to take the 2023 Cross Creek Men’s Golf League title.
