Adams Central moved to 9-1 on the year with a 30-run hitting exhibition to sweep a doubleheader at Tippy Valley Saturday, setting the Jets up well for a week of tough ACAC games.
Leadoff hitter Sydney Jauregui was 7 for 10 in the two games with a home run, scoring five runs and knocking in five herself as the bottom of the order was nearly as lethal as the top. Josie Zimmerman was 5 for 7 in the No. 9 spot with a long ball and Brianna Cook had six hits and scored five runs from the No. 8 spot, hitting a home run in both games.
Melina Peralez had four more RBI to add to her team-leading total.
Jenna Cook also homered in game one for the Jets.
Addie Baker threw the first game and allowed just five hits, striking out four as Adams Central won 12-2 in six innings. She gave way to Lilli Jackson for the start of the second game, but had to return to the circle to wrap up the win after Jackson was hit hard for ten runs in 5+ innings.

The Jets will play their next game at home against Woodlan on Tuesday.
