There were few issues in Tuesday’s NE8 volleyball match for the Bellmont Braves, who beat East Noble on home court 25-9, 25-10, 25-16 to move to 2-0 in the conference.

The Braves used a balanced attack of their top four hitters to easily dispatch the Knights. Delaney Lawson led the team with 11 kills, while MK Scheumann had 10 and Alyssa Gumbel and Hailey Cole each had nine.

Cole was dynamic, as usual, posting 31 assists and digging out six balls, while also finding opportunities to dunk the ball over or score on the team’s second hit instead of making the pass.

Sami Christen led the team with 14 digs, while Gumbel burned the Knights for five aces.
