Norwell rallied late for two victories in the third set, but it was too little, too late as the Adams Central Jets had already captured three straightforward victories in the other varsity matches for the team win.
Braxton Gerber’ win at No. 3 singles clinched the victory for Adams Central over their sectional rivals and next-door neighbors.
Adams Central also got wins from Zack Frank in singles and from the doubles pair of Chris Espinosa and Daymon Frock.
The Jets will have a chance to claim victory over an other next-door neighbor when they travel to Decatur to play the winless Bellmont Braves Tuesday.
