Will Baker did it with his bat and Beau Baker did it with his arm.
Combined, the two juniors helped the Bellmont Braves beat Whitko at home Saturday, 13-3.
Will Baker finished 2-for-3, driving in five runs as the leadoff batter. The shortstop actually did not make an out, reaching on an error and hitting a double and a single and walking once.
Beau Baker pitched a complete game (six innings with the run rule) and struck out ten, while walking just one.

The Braves did a great job at the bottom of the order getting on base for Baker’s later at-bats. #7 hitter Aidan Zimmerman had two hits and scored twice, while #8 hitter George Gardner walked twice and scored both times.
#9 hitter Mason Martinez was somehow hit three times, that’s right, three times, and also had a single in a game where he used his speed to score three runs and steal two bases. Gardner also swiped two bags.
The Braves also played Peru Saturday, falling 13-1. They managed just two hits against Peru ace Dylan Heyob.
Oliver Werling had a double and Will Baker, who started the game at pitcher, had a single.
The Braves face tough challenges in the conference in the upcoming week with games at Columbia City Tuesday and at home against rival Norwell Thursday.
