The Adams County Historical Society (ACHS) rolls into December with several activities scheduled.
Events begin this Saturday with pictures with Santa offered at the society’s museum, 420 W. Monroe St., Decatur. The Dugan Mansion museum has been decorated for the Christmas season.
Photos with Santa will be taken from 4 to 7 p.m., but those interested need to make an appointment with Sacred Images, (260) 233-1137.
Sessions of 5-10 minutes will be offered, with a 5×7 print or digital file being $25 ($10 for each additional image).
On Sunday, the society will hold a Holiday Open House at the museum, from 1-4 p.m.
No admission will be charged.
The following weekend, on Saturday, Dec. 14, the society will hold its sixth annual Mingle & Jingle Cookie Sale at the museum The sale will run from 1-4 p.m., with a box of cookies priced at $10.
In addition to those activities, the ACHS is currently offering for sale a collection of historical note cards with envelopes.

Each card depicts a building: The county courthouse, the Niblick house, the Pennsy Depot, and the Dugan Museum.
The four-card set, another society fundraiser, is priced at $20 and is available at the museum and also at the HIVE in downtown Decatur.
