Tuesday’s game against Bluffton was a story of missed opportunities for the Adams Central Flying Jets as they put men on base 14 times but came away with only four runs in an 8-4 loss in ACAC play.
Both teams put the same number of runners on in the game, but Bluffton was able to pick up the clutch hits and take advantage of two key Adams Central errors.

Cade Van De Weg drew the start for the Jets and had good stuff, as evidenced by his nine strikeouts, but Bluffton was able to get to him and score seven times in his six innings of work.

The Jets should have taken advantage of the six walks issued by Bluffton starter Griffin Morgan, but they instead stranded runners in scoring position in each of the innings Morgan finished. He was relieved in the fifth by Cameron Williams, who got four outs in relief before handing the ball over to Aaron Streveler, who gave up just one hit in 1.2 innings to finish off the Jets.
