Adams Memorial Hospital has announced that Jennifer (Jen) Helt has been named its new Chief Nursing Officer.
Helt, MBA, BSN, RN, has served as Assistant Chief Nursing Officer at Adams Memorial for the past four years.
A news release said she “is committed to advancing high-quality, compassionate care while supporting the growth and success of the teams who deliver care each day.”
The native of Wren, Ohio, resides in Convoy, Ohio, with her husband and three youngsters.

Prior to joining Adams Memorial, Helt held leadership roles at Dupont Hospital Emergency Department, where her team earned recognition for patient satisfaction and she was named Clinical Manager of the Year.
Since joining Adams Memorial Hospital, she has helped lead quality improvement initiatives focused on sepsis care, readmission reduction, patient experience, and workforce engagement, according to the news release.
At the local hospital, Helt supported the development of the Mobile Integrated Health Team, established Patient and Family Experience Luncheons, implemented HCAHPS recognition programs for staff, and secured grant funding to enhance cardiac care services, including an initiative that placed 150 AEDs throughout Adams County.
Jen also serves as co-chair of the Rural Health Region 2 Chronic Disease Workgroup, a collaborative effort instrumental in securing the Rural Health Transformation Grant.
In 2024, she was honored with the Critical Access Hospital Hero Award for her contributions to rural healthcare.
Helt earned her Registered Nursing degree from Northwest Community College in 2010, her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Indiana Wesleyan University in 2022, and her Master of Business Administration from Western Governors University in 2024.
Her leadership experience includes serving as Regional Manager and Facility Administrator for CLI Surgery Center, where she received the Strong Leadership and Teamwork Award in 2011 and the President’s Award in 2012.
“Passionate about quality, access, and innovation in rural health, Jen is especially committed to outreach efforts that support the Amish community and other under-served populations,” Adams Memorial said in the news release.
“Above all, she finds purpose in developing leaders, helping them recognize their strengths, build confidence, and achieve both personal and professional success. Her leadership philosophy is rooted in collaboration, service, and a genuine commitment to helping others thrive.”
