The rains may have washed away much of the sporting schedule Wednesday and Thursday in Adams County, but the South Adams Starfires will face Heritage Thursday evening in the StarDome in a matchup that will feature the only two unbeaten teams left in the ACAC. Heritage kept their unbeaten start to the conference schedule alive with a straight-set win over Southern Wells Tuesday night, 25-19, 25-22, 25-20.
Freshman Kinley Galentine led all players with 17 kills in the three short sets. She also had 13 digs and 15 assists for the Patriots, who still have just two losses on the year.
Another ninth grader, Mallory Ehrman, had ten kills and ten digs.
The Patriots were especially solid on the serve of Southern Wells, allowing no aces, with Kierstyn Hess receiving 24 of the 57 Southern Wells serves.
The victory put Heritage up to #5 in the state in 3A in the computer rankings and #21 overall.
