Teresa J. Salmons, 63, of Monroe, passed away Sunday, July 26, 2026 at her residence. Teresa, the daughter of the late Leroy Beer Jr. and Virginia A. “Ginny” (Railing) Beer, was born on April 12, 1963 in Decatur. Teresa married Elias Salmons in July 28, 1998.
Teresa had worked as a cook for Rhinelander and Sports Line and worked in the deli for Hammonds Grocery. She is a big supporter of P.A.W.S. of Adams County. She loved animals, gardening and was an avid reader.
She is survived by her husband, Elias Salmons of Monroe; son, Keith Gage of Monroe; daughter Jackie (Travis) Miller of Noblesville; 2 brothers, Tim (Darla) Beer and Tony (Linda) Beer; sister, Vicki (Steve) Rich all of Decatur; 4 grandchildren, Kheira, Kalman, Paxton and Kennedy and numerous nieces and nephews.
Teresa was also preceded in death by a brother, David Beer.
Memorial viewing will be on Thursday, July 30, 2026 from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. at Haggard-Hirschy & Zelt Funeral Home.
