Stanley D. Allison, 89, of Decatur, passed away Saturday, July 4, 2026, at Adams Woodcrest. Stanley was born on January 8, 1937, in Monroeville, to the late R. Elmer and Mildred (Wass) Allison. On January 9, 1960, he married Mary Jane Smith.

Stanley was a member of Grace First Community Church, formerly First United Methodist Church in Decatur. He retired from International Harvester after 40 plus years of service. After retiring from International Harvester, he enjoyed working for Harvest Land Co-op. He also served in the US Air Force from 1955 to 1962.
He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Mary Jane “Janey” Allison of Decatur; son, Anthony “Tony” (Andrea) Allison of South Bend, IN; daughter, Amy (Juan) Gutierrez of Decatur, IN; brother, Rex Allison of Monroeville, IN; 2 sisters, Janice (Dick) Neuok of Dixon, IN and Donna Sealscott of Roanoke, IN; sister-in-law, Carol Grimm of Jacksonville Beach, Florida; 7 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
Stanley was preceded in death by his sister, Karen Sue Lahr and his sister-in-law, Lula May Allison.
In retirement, Stan enjoyed traveling, gardening, playing cards, tooling around town in his red Smart Car, spending time with friends, his family and attending the many activities of his grandchildren.
A private graveside service will be held by the family. A public celebration of life will be held on Sunday, July 26, 2026, at The Pavilion at Cross Creek, Decatur, Indiana from 1:00 – 4:00 p.m. Memorials can be made to Kids First Childcare Ministry of Decatur, Indiana.
