Nancy Jane Stauffer, age 71, of Geneva, IN, passed away at 5:47 PM on Monday, July 6, 2026 at Stillwater Hospice in Fort Wayne, IN. She was born on Saturday, December 18, 1954, in Portland, IN. She married Ronald L. Stauffer on Saturday, April 12, 1975 in Adams Co. Nancy was a graduate of Pennville High School where she was named valedictorian of her class. She lived her early years in the Pennville area. Nancy worked for Berne Furniture for 37 years in upholstery. She enjoyed going to garage sales, reading, gardening, golf cart rides, and above all spending time with her husband, children and grandchildren. She and Ronald never missed a game or any event the grandchildren were in.
Nancy will be forever missed by her husband, Ronald L. Stauffer, Geneva, IN, son, Scott (Krista) Stauffer, Geneva, IN, daughter, Lisa Steiner, Bluffton, IN, grandchildren, Matthew Steiner, Hayley (fiancé, Thomas Murphy) Steiner, Ty Stauffer, Luke Stauffer, sister, Linda (Tom) Diller, Portland, IN, Candy (Ralph) Arthur, Yorktown, IN, and Sherry (Don) Ainsworth, Bryant, IN.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Mary Evelyn (Gibson) Wright.
A private service will be held at a later date.
