Fresh off another successful benefit concert, its fifth, the Connor Brite’s Wildflowers music program is heading into another session of free music lessons.
The latest session begins in July and runs through October, according to the organization.
The session is full!

“We have had over 100 students take advantage of the program and look forward to more,” a spokesperson said.
Those interested in taking part can apply online at cjbwildflowers.com.
“First priority is given to first-time students in 4th-12th grade who live in Adams County.,” the spokesperson added.
Lessons in drumming, guitar and keyboard are provided by a group of volunteers.
Students may try all three instruments or apply for more than one session in any instrument at any time. “It is not necessarily one and done … if we have openings, we want to fill them,” the spokesperson noted.
The program was launched by Decatur residents Jeff and Steph Brite as a memorial to their son, Connor.
Jordan Fuelling, Trevor Ortiz and Connor lost their lives on June 7 of 2020 when their vehicle was struck by an impaired driver.
The Brites and family members began the program in the aftermath.
“We have had a great response from students and parents who have experienced our program and the positive effect it has had in their lives,” the Brites said.
