
The Adams County Economic Development Corporation (Adams County EDC) announced Thursday that President and Chief Executive Officer Colton Bickel will be departing from his role, concluding his tenure with the organization.
Bickel has served as President/CEO of the Adams County EDC, where he has played a key role in advancing economic growth initiatives, strengthening community partnerships, and supporting business development across Adams County.
“Serving Adams County in this capacity has been a truly rewarding experience,” said Bickel. “I’m incredibly proud of the collaborative work we’ve accomplished alongside our business leaders, local governments, and community partners. While this decision was not an easy one, I’m confident the organization is well-positioned for continued success and growth in the years ahead.”
During his tenure, Bickel helped guide strategic efforts to attract investment, retain local employers, and enhance the county’s economic competitiveness. His leadership contributed to several impactful initiatives and strengthened relationships across the region.
Adams County EDC Board of Directors Chair Dean Fuelling expressed appreciation for Bickel’s contributions. “Colton has been a dedicated and forward-thinking leader for the Adams County EDC,” said Fuelling. “On behalf of the Board, I want to thank him for his commitment to our mission and the positive impact he has made throughout the county. His leadership has helped lay a strong foundation for future economic development efforts.”
The Board of Directors will begin the process of identifying the organization’s next Executive Director. In the interim, the EDC will continue its work uninterrupted, maintaining its focus on supporting economic vitality and opportunity throughout Adams County.
