It was a combined one-hit effort for three Carroll Charger pitchers Wednesday night as they teamed up to beat the Bellmont Braves 5-0.
Aiden Stephan, Kellen Harrison and Jayce Richards combined to strike out 16 batters.
Stephan got the start and worked around four walks to strike out nine in his four innings of work.
Jayden Springer had the only hit of the night for the visitors, a single in the second off Stephan.

Layne LeMaster started the game for the Braves. He gave up single tallies in the first, second and fifth innings, keeping the team in the game. He was knocked out of the game in the sixth, though, and replaced by Keaton Wilder, who got out of the inning, but not before allowing both inherited runners to score.

Ben Mills drew a walk and stole two bases for the Braves, who are now 8-12.
Bellmont will head in the opposite direction Thursday for a game against a very good Jay County team.
