Decatur police officer Conrad Dyer has completed his training at the Indiana Law Enforcement Academy.
Dyer was among a large group of men and women who on Friday comprised the latest group to graduate from the Plainfield academy, having completed an intense 16-week training period.
Dyer served as Guidon Bearer, carrying the academy flag daily during all formations and helping call out the cadence.

It was the academy’s 238th class.
Dyer, 22, joined the Decatur PD in August of last year.

The 2021 graduate of Bellmont High School had previously been a confinement officer at the Adams County Jail for four years.
The Decatur department is fully staffed, with 20 officers plus Chief Kevin Gerber and Deputy Chief Chris Brite.
