A 7-4 win in the second-set tiebreak for Bellmont senior Lillian Jin gave the rest of the team a big spark, giving the Braves a 2-1 lead in match that they went on to take 3-2 against Bishop Luers.
Rallying the singles players with her win in the tiebreak, Jin motivated classmate Lilyana Suarez to persevere in the third set, which she took 6-1 against Kennidy Chapin. Suarez had dropped the opening set 6-3 before coming all the way back for the winning point.

The match at No. 2 doubles also went three sets and was won by Luers.
Along with the victories by Jin and Suarez, the Braves got a straight-set victory from Ella Ross and Averie Coats. Ross and Coats needed a tiebreak to win the opening set.
The Braves will face a much different opponent Monday night when they travel to rival Adams Central.
