It wasn’t quite the 148.5 feet that he threw on Friday, but Adams Central’s Braylen Cowans still took second with a 142-06.5 at Saturday’s Oak Hill Relays.
Alexandria’s Alex Canfield won both the discus and the shot with massive efforts.
Cowans had set a new PR Friday night at the Heritage Relays with that throw of 148-06. His effort in the shot put Saturday was his career best.
Teammate Carter Beaver just eclipsed his PR, going 116-01 for the Jets.
The Jets’ female throwers also had a great day.
