PONETO – A tri-meet involving Heritage and AC, hosted by Southern Wells, was filled with fast sprint times and season bests with the help of a little wind as teams enjoyed a dry night in an otherwise wet April.

Lucas Weber became the first Heritage sprinter in at least four years to break the 11-second mark in the 100, winning with a stunning hand-clocked time of 10.79, easily his career best. The time, aided somewhat by the wind, is also better than the sectional winning time from the last few years.

Wyatt Comment led the Heritage throwers with a career night in the shot put, taking first and a fifth-place finish in the disc.
In the girls’ meet the Heritage Patriots got a pair of wins from Alexa Walter and Emily High to lead the way.
