The Norwell girls, with the help of a sweep from Jada Dale in the sprints, took a closely-contested head-to-head track meet from the Bellmont Braves and their male counterparts and classmates did the same to spoil senior night for the Bellmont program.
Mary Bleke won the shot put with her career best and the longest throw of any Adams County athlete this season.
The meet also featured a continued tribute to the late Dave Hakes, who coached the Bellmont boys for many years. He passed away last year after a battle with cancer. Bellmont athletes competed with the words “Do It For Dave” written in marker on their arms or thighs (see gallery below).
