The new season for coach Jessica Disinger and the Adams Central Jets got started with a win over long-time rival Canterbury Friday, with the home Jets coming away with a 4-1 win with Tenley Hendricks leading the way as the new No. 1 for AC.

Hendricks led by example, winning in straight sets, and her singles teammates did the same, giving the Jets a clean sweep of individual play.

Adrienne Johnson and Emily Bertsch teamed up to win the fourth point for the Jets in the only varsity match to go three sets.

Adams Central won every JV match on the night. The season has been off to a slow start because of weather, but the Jets will play two very important matches this week against sectional rivals Norwell and Bluffton.
