Jeffery A. Vincent, 70, of Decatur, IN, passed away on Saturday, April 11, 2026, at Lutheran Hospital. He was born in Zanesville, OH, on September 8, 1955, the son of the late Richard R. and Patty Ann (Waite) Vincent. On October 17, 2009, he married Judith A. Johnson.
He was a 1973 graduate of Morgan County High School. He then went on to receive a Degree in Electrical Engineering from Ohio University and a Masters in Management from Ashland University. He valued education and was an Adjunct Professor at Chattanooga State Community College.

Jeff served his country in the United States Navy where he was an Electrician’s Mate Petty Officer 2nd Class. He was a member of the American Legion Carmel Post 155. He was also a member of the Webb Masonic Lodge F & AM No. 252 in Stockport, OH and the United Mine Workers of America.
He worked for AEP for 28 years, where he started in the coal mines and then was an electrical engineer. He then worked for EPB in Chattanooga for a decade from 2008 – 2018. His final position was with IMPA in Carmel where he served as the Vice President of Electrical Engineering for 5 years until his retirement in 2024.
Jeff will be remembered for his selflessness and the positive influence he left on many. He looked for the best in people and made the most of every situation. He always put others first and loved his grandchildren. He adored his bride and always let her know it, she was his whole world. He never left her questioning his love for her every single day. He also enjoyed the many years riding his Harley Davidson. He loved having a good time and everyone will always remember to have “Just One More!” for Jeff.
He is survived by his wife of 17 years, Judy Vincent of Decatur; 4 children, Lori Vincent of Columbus, OH, Andrea (Stephen) Gormley of Washington DC, Tiffany (Johnathan) Cooper of Decatur, and Sean Muldoon of Decatur; a brother, VJ Dille of Belleville, OH; 2 sisters, Beth Ann Dille of Lexington, OH and Sharon (Kermit) White of Malta, OH; 11 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his brother, Kevin Vincent.
Visitation will be from 3:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 16, 2026, at Haggard-Hirschy & Zelt Funeral Home.
A Masonic Funeral Service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday April 17, 2026 also at the funeral home, with Masonic Rites being conducted by the Decatur Lodge F & AM No. 571. Visitation will be from 10:00 – 10:30 a.m. prior to the service.
Military Honors will then be rendered by the American Legion Adams Post 43 Color Guard at the funeral home. Burial will take place in Marion National Cemetery.
