Bellmont’s stint in 4A volleyball may have cost them their sectional streak, but it also gave them a very memorable 2025 sectional victory as coach Krull’s program started a new sectional streak in a five-set thriller over Homestead in the opening round.
The Braves will return to their normal classification of 3A in 2026 and 2027 and they’ll play in a much different sectional from the last few sets of decisions from Indianapolis.
3A Sectional #22: Bellmont, Bluffton, Bishop Luers, Heritage, New Haven, Norwell, Woodlan
Last year’s 3A champion, Roncalli, will play 4A volleyball for the next two seasons.
Bishop Dwenger, last year’s 3A runner-up, will be in the other local 3A sectional.
3A Sectional #21: Angola, DeKalb, East Noble, Bishop Dwenger, Concordia Lutheran, Garrett, Leo
In 2A, Adams Central and South Adams will no longer have to worry about Bluffton and Woodlan, with both ACAC rivals moving up to Bellmont’s 3A sectional.
Instead, the Jets and Starfires will be favorites in a five-team field.
