Terry E. Werst, 71, of Monroe, Indiana, passed away Sunday, March 1, 2026, in the comfort of her home surrounded by family. Terry was born on July 3, 1954, in Muncie, Indiana, to Gerald and Marjorie (Stults) Boxell. On January 26, 1985, Terry married Kevin Werst, who preceded her in death on July 30, 2023.
Terry worked for and retired from Bluffton Regional for 28 years as an LPN. She was also a minister for 12 years at Trinity Life Chapel.
She is survived by her children, Amanda Vaughn, Tonna (Chris) Slusher, Josh (Sasha) Werst and Jamie Bodle all of Decatur; brother, Dave Boxell of Union City; 24 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.
Terry was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son Joe Manor, brother and 2 sons-in-law.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 4, 2026, from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Haggard-Hirschy & Zelt Funeral Home.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, March 5, 2026, also at the funeral home with calling prior from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m.
Burial will follow in Tricker Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to Adams County Animal Shelter.
