Down 31-20 at halftime, Lakewood Park’s Avery MacFarlane had just one made basket. The senior put his team on his back on Senior Night and led the Panthers to a crazy comeback and a 68-60 win over Adams Central.
MacFarlane, who led all scorers with 26 points, knocked down nine shots in the second half and helped the home team score a whopping 29 points in the final quarter in the regular season’s final game.
Kobe Marquardt also played a big role for the home team, nailing four threes and scoring 14 of his 20 points in the final quarter.

The Panthers overcame a nine-point deficit at the start of the fourth quarter to win the game by eight points.
Braylend Reber and Drew Johnson led the Jets with 19 points apiece.
Adams Central finish the regular season with a 4-17 record. They’ll play Whitko (9-14) in the second game Tuesday at the 2A Bluffton sectional.
