UNIONDALE – Logan Whitacre captured his third consecutive conference diving title with a career-best performance, dominating competition and delivering enough points to the Bellmont Braves to secure the team a runner-up finish at the NE8 conference meet at Norwell Saturday.
Hudson Krull also claimed a conference title with a sensational performance in the individual medley. Krull’s time was the best of any Adams County swimmer in at least the past five years.

Krull and Whitacre then teamed up with Ben Goble and Samuel Juengel to cruise to victory in the 200 Free Relay, winning by 1.71 seconds over Leo. It was the best attempt by the BHS team this season, and the best of any Adams County team this year.

Krull was also the champion in the breaststroke, setting a new personal mark for his career with a finish of 1:04.03. He’ll have a few more attempts to break 1:04 before sectional, where the winner the past two years has come in just under 1:02.
