Lorene Huss, 83 of Geneva, Indiana, passed away on Monday, June 23, 2025, at 2pm at River Terrace in Bluffton.
Lorene was born on August 2, 1941, in Breathitt County, Kentucky to Lewis and Mary (Gross) Reynolds. She married Calvin J. Huss on January 23, 1968, in Richmond, Indiana. Lorene was a member of the Church of the Living God in Union City, Indiana. She worked at CTS in Berne for 40 years and Jay Garment in Portland for 5 years. She was also a Sunday School teacher. Lorene enjoyed doing word search puzzles, cooking, and raising her family. She was very proud of her family and enjoyed spending time with them.
Lorene was preceded in death by her parents, daughter, Rebecca Huss, brothers, Nolan, John and Jesse Reynolds, and sister, Judy Reynolds.
Loving survivors include her husband, Calvin J. Huss of Geneva, IN, daughters, Dena (Richard) Loshe of Decatur, IN, Elizabeth (George) Thomas of Tracy City, TN, and Cynthia (Robert) Rhoades of Geneva, IN, 8 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, and siblings, Woody Reynolds, Dorothy Bye, Arlene Moore, and Mary Burry.
Friends and family may gather to share and remember on Wednesday, June 25, 2025, at Downing & Glancy Funeral Home located at 100 N Washington St. Geneva, IN 46740 from 4pm to 8pm and again on Thursday, June 26, 2025, from 9:30am to 10:30am at Church of the Living God 8472 S 800 E Union City, IN 47390. A funeral service will begin at 10:30am Thursday, with Paul Burry officiating. Burial will follow at the Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Randolph County.
