Homestead, Bishop Dwenger, Canterbury and Blackhawk Christian dominated Friday’s IHSAA golf sectional at Chestnut Hills, with the Spartans winning by 24 strokes over Dwenger. Canterbury took third with a 309 and Blackhawk settled for the consolation prize of taking all three advancing individuals.
The top four teams carded the best 18 scores, with Woodlan’s Grant Grabes the first player to make the list with an 83.
Heritage’s top player, Luke Ripple, shot an excellent round of 88 (44-44) to pace the Patriots, who finished in 10th place in the 12-team field.

Ripple made two birdies – on the 2nd and 12th holes – to help him to his 88.
