Melina Peralez hit another home run Wednesday night – her third of the year – but it was the only highlight for Adams Central in a quick, 14-1 loss at Homestead.
Coming off just their second victory of the year on Tuesday, the Jets were unable to maintain momentum against the vastly more talented Spartans.
Homestead scored multiple runs in all four of their half innings against Adams Central pitching.
Peralez hit one out to center field to lead off the fourth inning. The only other AC hit of the night was a single for Baylee Smith.
Braeli Borchers homered with the bases loaded in the Spartan second inning, making it 9-0.
Adams Central will try to bounce back when they host South Adams Thursday.
