Entering the week with hopes of an ACAC title, the Adams Central Jets walked off the field Wednesday night against Norwell with a second straight loss by a combined score of 29-0 after falling to the Knights 10-0 in just five innings at home. Norwell starter Ryne Thornton threw five no-hit innings for the victory.

Norwell jumped on the board early with singles by Noah Schamerloh and Drew Graft setting up the Knights for an opportunity to run on the AC battery and they took advantage of it, scoring three times with one out to set the tone of the game.
Ryne Thornton set the Jets down in order, 1-2-3, in the bottom of the first and the second, and the Knights scored twice more, again taking advantage of passed balls and wild pitches to build a 5-0 lead.

The visitors knocked Barrett Collier out of the game with a rally in the top of the fourth, scoring five more times.
Korben Neuenschwander delivered the final blow – a single off Jacob Miller, who was charged with the final run – to bring the run rule into play.

Thornton struck out four of the final six batters of the game after the ten-run lead to finish off his perfect 15-for-15 night.

The Jets are back in action Thursday on WZBD when they play Heritage. The Patriots will be looking to seize control of the ACAC with a win after claiming victory at Parkview Field against Bellmont Wednesday.

Adams Central will look to end their poor run of form on the week with a start by Cade Van De Weg.
