The South Adams Starfires’ tough luck continued Monday night in an 11-9 home loss to the Union City Indians. The Stars spent most of the game chasing down the Indians, only to allow more runs in the following half inning.
The game was plagued by a total of 13 errors by the two teams.
Derek Weaver started the game for the Stars and those errors caused five of the six runs he allowed to be unearned. He was the losing pitcher as the Stars were never able to tie the game after Union City scored twice in the top of the first.

Zeke Baumer had two of the four hits (all singles) for the Starfires.
Sty Pyle knocked in two runs from the leadoff spot while also drawing two walks.
The Stars face a very tough opponent when they travel to Heritage.
