Bellmont moved to 2-0 on the season and in the NE8 with a convincing victory at Whispering Creek on Monday.
Owen Minnick somehow mastered the windy conditions and held his score to under 40 – the only player to do so – for medalist honors with a 39.
All four scoring players were within two strokes of each other and the dropped score – a 43 from Jacob Binegar – was solid in the conditions.

“They played well in windy conditions,” noted head coach Ty Razo, who says he is really looking forward to this year. “They proved to me they can battle, which is something we have missed the past few years.”

The Braves will head back to Cross Creek for much better weather Tuesday, taking on Norwell and Wayne in a rescheduled match.

“They are bringing a good mentality to practice every day,” said Razo.
