
All four East Allen schools met Saturday for a district-wide boys’ volleyball tournament and it was the Heritage Patriots who beat all three of their rivals to bounce back from Friday’s loss against Homestead.


vs. Woodlan: 29-27, 26-24
The Patriots had to fight for every point and needed extra points to beat the Warriors. Graham Simmons, Braden Walter and Zeke Litchfield all had ten kills to lead the effort.

vs. Leo: 25-16, 25-19
Litchfield led the way with nine kills, while Braden Walter had two aces. Litchfield also had two blocks.
vs. New Haven: 23-25, 25-19, 15-6
Heritage dropped their only set of the tournament against the Bulldogs, but bounced back to win the next two sets.

SUCCESS ROLLS INTO MONDAY
After winning Saturday, the Patriots were right back into action Monday against Concordia. Heritage won 25-14, 25-10, 26-28, 25-16.
Zeke Litchfield led the team with 16 kills, while Braden Walter had 13.
Graham Simmons was killer from behind the line with six aces.
Eli Tigulis led the team with 33 assists.
Thursday’s contest against North Side will be broadcast live on 92.7 FM, WZBD.
