
The Adams County Commissioners are considering amending their proposal to charge for license plates for horse drawn vehicles in the county. During a public hearing on the issue Tuesday, a question was raised about wagons or carts that are drawn by smaller animals like ponies. Bailey said the Commissioners will study the matter more before taking a final vote on the issue next Tuesday. If approved, the price for buggy plates in Adams County would increase to $175 each for this year, then increase in additional $10 a year over the next 10 years to raise funds to pay for road repairs on those used for vehicles drawn by larger horses.
