At last week’s meeting of the IHSAA Executive Committee, the IHSAA voted to approve the proposed sectional realignment as suggested by assistant commissioner Robert Faulkens.
This year’s baseball sectionals will not begin until after Memorial Day, with championship games set to be played on Monday, June 2nd.
Local sectionals will be as follows:
3A Garrett Sectional (#21): Angola, DeKalb, East Noble, Bishop Dwenger, Concordia Lutheran, Garrett, Leo
3A New Haven Sectional (#22): Bellmont, Heritage, Marion, Mississinewa, New Haven, Norwell
2A Central Noble Sectional (#35): Central Noble, Churubusco, Eastside, Lakeland, Prairie Heights, Westview
2A Adams Central Sectional (#36): Adams Central, Bluffton, Bishop Luers, South Adams, Whitko, Woodlan
1A Wes-Del Sectional (#55): Cowan, Daleville, North Miami, Northfield, Southern Wells, Southwood, Tri-Central, Wes-Del
1A Seton Catholic (#56): Blue River Valley, Cambridge City Lincoln, Monroe Central, Randolph Southern, Seton Catholic, Union City
Regional championships would be played as such:
3A Regional #11: Winner of Sectional #21 vs. Winner of Sectional #22
2A Regional #18: Winner of Sectional #35 vs. Winner of Sectional #36
1A Regional #28: Winner of Sectional #55 vs. Winner of Sectional #56
Northern Regional Hosts: LaPorte, NorthWood, Carroll (FW), Griffith, Oak Hill, Logansport, Kokomo, Lafayette Central Catholic
