WZBD carried the sectional opener for all four featured teams in Z Land Thursday and we came away with as many winners as possible – three- and set up a bonanza of volleyball coverage Saturday on the biggest high school sports day of the year.
One team from Z Land was destined to be sent home when the IHSAA drew Adams Central and South Adams against each other in the opener of the 2A Woodlan Sectional. The third and final match between the two rivals ended with a 3-0 sweep for the Starfires, who look destined for a deep run in 2A now that they have dispatched the Jets.

Fans interested in following Bellmont, South Adams and Heritage can rest assured that they can find all three teams’ games on Saturday on 92.7 FM or on our WZBD Radio YouTube channel thanks to our outstanding sponsors.
