MaryKate Scheumann and the Bellmont Braves blasted past the Huntington North Vikings Tuesday night on their way to another conference title, moving to 6-0 in the NE8 with one match left to play with a 25-6, 25-11, 25-12 victory in front of the home crowd.
The Braves will wrap up the regular season Thursday for Senior Night against Columbia City.
Scheumann led the team with 14 kills, with several of them feeling like her biggest hits of the season. The junior had an incredible nine kills to go along with four digs and two solo blocks.
Alyssa Gumbel added six kills and Ella Ross had four in the win.
Down in Union City, the South Adams Starfires took care of business, winning in straight sets, 25-4, 25-9, 25-10.
Reagan Bollenbacher led the Starfires with seven kills.
South Adams won the JV contest, 25-11, 25-6.
