Madonna Jean (Donna) Field, 80, of Bluffton, IN, passed away Saturday, September 28th, 2024, peacefully at Lutheran Hospital in Ft. Wayne, IN. Donna was born in Joliet, IL, on September 3, 1944, a daughter of the late Doris M. (Ivansak) and Daniel J. Kern. She was a 1962 graduate of St. Frances Academy in Joliet, IL, and went on to serve others as a Home Health Aid.

Donna was the widow of the late George H. Field who she sadly lost on February 28, 2010. She was a slightly ornery, very opinionated and devoted grandmother who enjoyed refinishing antiques, showing Belgian Tervuren dogs, sewing, stenciling, trips to Yellowstone in their RV, and listening to Elvis. Donna is survived by a son, Daniel F. Swanson (wife Melissa) of Bluffton; and 2 granddaughters, Amber and Kaila Swanson. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, George. Private burial will be held in Black Cemetery, in Albany, IN. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Huntington County SPCA. Arrangements have been entrusted to MJS Mortuaries – Redkey Chapel.
