Kent A. Christy, 70, of Berne, Indiana passed away Saturday afternoon, September 28, 2024, at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
He was born on November 8, 1953, in Decatur, Indiana to the late Bryce and Deloris (Liechty) Christy.
He served his country in the United States Army.
Kent was a member of the First Mennonite Church in Berne, Indiana.
He was a Truck driver and retired after many years of driving.
Kent was very talented at woodworking and made various items for the family. He enjoyed playing the piano and organ.
He is survived by his son, Greg (Janet) Christy of Lebanon, Indiana; daughter, Gina (Vince) Vinci of Cadiz, Kentucky; son, Jason (Liz) Christy of Broaddus, Texas; brother, David (Sandy) Christy of Dallas, Georgia; sister, June (Rick) Liechty of Berne, Indiana; six grandsons; 11 granddaughters; and 13 great-grandchildren.
Kent was preceded by death by two grandchildren.
A Graveside Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, October 3, 2024, at M.R.E. Cemetery in Berne, Indiana with Pastor Jim Schwartz officiating.
Preferred memorials can be given to the Shriners Children’s Hospital.
