Playing the final games before Sunday’s draw for the upcoming state tournament, local soccer teams worked on wrapping up their final weekend of preparation Saturday and coaches spent time deciding which JV players might be useful on the end of the bench when those sectional fixtures roll around.
WZBD continues to be the leader for high school soccer on the radio this coming week with two more contests set to be broadcast when Bellmont travels to DeKalb Monday to win the NE8 outright. The Braves will close out the regular season with a home game Thursday against Heritage. Both games will be heard live on 92.7 FM.
In boys’ action, Norwell scored a satisfying victory in NE8 play with a brace from Kyler Morris and a third goal by Noah Schamerloh.
