Facing two matches in 85-degree heat just three days out from the IHSAA sectional, head golf coach Chris Toledo took the opportunity to rotate his team Tuesday, but still managed to beat the New Haven Bulldogs, as the Starfires shot 213 for their final round at Wabash Valley in 2024.

Julia Arnold took medalist honors with a round of 47, while Brooklyn Green had her best round at Wabash Valley this season, lowering her mark by two strokes.

“The course is starting to get dry,” noted Toledo of the recent lack of rainfall in the area, “but it still played well.”
Sophia Orr was another Starfire with a good night. She carded her best round on the front nine this season, shooting 55.

The Starfires will end their regular season Wednesday at Timber Ridge against the Knights of Norwell and Bishop Luers before playing in Friday’s sectional.
