The momentum for the Bellmont Braves continues to gain steam after Maggie Wilson’s unassisted goal in the 80th minute gave the home team a wild, 3-2 victory Wednesday night in non-conference play.
Wilson’s second goal of the night came with thirty seconds left in the contest and gave the Braves their third victory in a matter of seven days and pushed the team’s record from winless last Wednesday to above .500 before this Wednesday ended.
The Braves led 1-0 at half, but two second-half goals by the visitors made the game look sure to be a draw heading into the final moments.
Oni Krueckeberg scored the other goal for the Braves.
Lilly Alberding and Adi Knipstein provided the assists in the game.
The Braves’ junior varsity team won their game against Concordia, 5-0.
